Description
Stop your lighting stands and upright photographic equipment falling over.
Perfect for use in the studio or on location, they are constructed in a saddle bag format; each side of the bag has two layers with secure pillow-design pocket which will hold sand, gravel or any securing weight. These sandbags are made from a long-lasting, durable fabric with double strap handles and double zips to prevent leakage.
Just drape the sandbag with one pocket either side of your lighting stand leg for increased peace of mind that it’s less likely to be knocked or blown over. Or you can attach the sandbag to your tripod; speaking from experience, when filming at the top of a Cornish clifftop, adding a sandbag to my tripod gave me a vastly steadier shot, and a happier director!
- Added protection for your your photographic equipment
- Fill and forget - Double-zipped for extra peace of mind
- Increased stability of your tripod means less shake when filming in windy locations
- Hard wearing fabric, built to last
- Heavy 10lb capacity for keeping your lighing, reflectors and other gear upright outdoors
Note: Purchase is for bag only, the sand or other weighted material is not supplied by ourselves. We recommend the use of play sand, pea gravel or non rusting nuts/bolts. Recommended weight limit 10lb (4.5kg)
Measures 28 cm x —26 cm has two individual pockets

Portabrace would cost you 10x the price!
Prompt delivery and a great quality product. Something like this branded as Portabrace, would cost you 10x the price! Used it with 4 cans of coke in the other day to weigh down my tripod in windy weather… ideal!

A must in any professional’s kit bag!
The StandBags, (sandbag) I feel I should have bought a long time ago! The amount of times I’ve had to catch my lighting stands after they’ve been knocked into or kicked the last thing I want is a court case over caving in someone’s head with an Arri! (And I like my lights in one piece!) Again, I was amazed at the quality of the product at such an affordable price. (At this point I’d like to say cheap, but that would imply poor quality, which these are definitely not! But they are cheap!) Now we’ve all done it, packed away at a shoot, not double checked and left something behind. I would be sad to lose my little standy friend, but at such reasonable cost, I won’t be losing any sleep! These are too good to call disposable, but at these prices, they almost are! I can rest assured knowing at the click of my mouse I can have a brand spanking new one by the next day.

A nice, well made, smart looking bag. Not too pricey, which is good as I needed 6 for my set up.
Nice to buy from a UK firm. There’s lots of foreign firms out there but my order from Standbags direct came the next day!
